Birth Doula services - non medical child birth support to women birthing at home, hospital or birthing center serving women. I bring an intuitive, kind and open heart to women and families choosing a diversity of approaches.
Includes a free initial visit with mom, partner and welcome and encourage any others who will be participating in the blessed day. This is an opportunity to ask questions, get to know one another and determine if we are a good match. I will offer more details about what I can offer and direct you to other resources to help with your decisions.
Includes a minimim of 2 prenatal visits where we review birth options, birth plans and desires, questions, concerns, fears pain coping techniques all while getting to know one another. Each visit consists both of open informal conversation and some active demonstrations and practices and may cover specifics about nutrition, positioning, breathing approaches and techniques, when to go to hospital. Each meeting is guided by the needs of the parents at the moment. I can direct you to a variety of resources. During the birth I am present throughout, as parents desire, offering non judgmental support of physical, emotional and informational needs during all transitions. I am guided through out by the parents and their needs as well as my own intuition. I remain flexible throughout to the ever changing needs and desires as they arise.
